For my Case Management clients, I also assign and supervise their homecare workers. My son, Taylor Sansbury, owns and runs Aging Homecare Registry LLC. This is an employment agency, not a home health agency. The cost of the homecare workers is much less than a home health agency. We have an agency fee that is billed the following week based on 18% of the salary paid to the worker. The worker is paid directly by you, the client. There is an employer contract that is needed prior to assigning a worker to your case. Presently the hourly rate is $11 per hour, and for a 24 live in shift it is $143 per day. The homecare workers are all certified in their field of care and carry Malpractice Insurance. The agency is bonded. If you would like more information on affordable home care, fill out the contact us form, or visit the website at www.AgingHomecare.com.
Special needs Trusts are set up for patients receiving homecare services who exceed the Medicaid income level. The surplus monthly income is placed in a Special Needs trust and used for non medical expenses such as food, household bills and rent or mortgage payments.
Annuities are used to convert excessive assets above the Medicaid level into an immediate income flow for the Medicaid applicant.
